COMPUTER parts, fans and office supplies were among piles of rubbish dumped at a beauty spot.

Richard McKellar, 72, found the waste blocking a bridleway near his home in Telscome Cliffs Way, Peacehaven.

The builder said the site was sometimes used by flytippers who are too lazy to dispose of the waste correctly.

CCTV footage showed a van reversing through the lane in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Mr McKellar, right, who has lived in the area since the 1950s, said the

rubbish has been there five days and still not been cleared.

His calls to get the rubbish collected fell on deaf ears, he said.

The waste was left in an unadopted road, which is on the edge of the South Downs National Park.

Mr McKellar said: “I know there have been cuts to the council, but none of them want to do anything.

“It’s unbelievable.

“They reversed up, and it looks like waste from an office clearance.

“We’ve been through the rubbish to look to find an address.

“If I find one, I think I’d take it back and put it in their garden.”

Yesterday Lewes District Council agreed it would clear the rubbish.
