THOUSANDS of protesters have taken to the streets of Brighton today as part of ongoing rallies to demand action against the global climate crisis.
Many pupils from primary and secondary schools across the conurbation joined the rally at Hove Lawns, organised by Youth Strike 4 Climate, Poole Climate Campaigners and the UK Student Climate Network.

Other rallies were held at The Level, with parents, teachers and business owners taking part.
This comes as the millions of people around the world have taken to the streets as part of global climate strikes ahead of the planned UN Climate Action Summit in New York on Monday.
