A PLAQUE installed to celebrate 40 years since the release of iconic Mod film Quadrophenia has been stolen.
Thousands descended on the seaside for the Brighton Mod Weekender to mark the anniversary of the film.
The plaque, installed on Brighton’s Palace Pier on Sunday during the event, has now been taken.
David Courtney, chief executive of Walk of Fame Media who commissioned the plaque, said: “I am shocked and disappointed to learn that the Brighton Music Walk of Fame plaque we presented to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Quadrophenia has been stolen from Brighton Palace Pier.”
To celebrate the anniversary actor Gary Shail hosted the event on Brighton Palace Pier, which also featured fellow star Leslie Ash.
