THE equivalent of 67,000 full bin bags of rubbish were collected from Brighton streets and seafront during Pride weekend.
About 67 metric tonnes of rubbish was collected by 200 members of Cityclean staff.
The clean-up was done in collaboration with Pride, which paid for the cleaning of its official areas, provided extra bins and recruited litter pickers.
Street cleaners, including 40 extra members of staff, worked every hour of the weekend, starting at 5am on Saturday and finishing at 6am on Monday.
The operation will be completed with the jet washing of St James's Street.
