On this day ten years ago The Argus went on a sponsored walk with students from BHASVIC college. We met the young cricket prodigy making a name for himself in adult team matches. And guitar hero Jeff Beck popped in to a music college to show off his skills.

The students were thrilled to have Jeff come into the college and play for them

The guitarist is best known for tracks like Hi Ho Silver Lining and People Get Ready and made a rare appearance to teach these music lovers a thing or two

Students from the Brighton, Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College (BHASVIC) took part in a sponsored walk

The journey took the students across Devil’s Dyke
