EMERGENCY services were dealing with an incident in Hanover.
Four police cars, two fire engines and an ambulance were called to the scene in Islingword Street, Brighton, at about 6pm yesterday.
Officers were seen removing items in sealed evidence bags from the property.
Meanwhile other officers searched the house, near the Dover Castle pub.
Most of the services had left the scene by 7.30pm.
But some officers remained at the property and spoke with one of its residents.
A police spokesman said: "At 5.45pm on Monday (8 July) emergency services attended an incident in Islingword Street, Brighton.
"There are no suspicious circumstances."
