A WOMAN kicked her own chihuahua before launching a racist tirade at another dog walker.
The woman was seen kicking the small dog hard across the grass several times in Tilgate Park, Crawley, according to police.
Another dog walker, who saw the attack and confronted the woman, was then subjected to a torrent of racist abuse, police said.
Officers want to talk this woman, and another woman she was with, about the incident which happened at about 4pm on Wednesday, June 19.
The woman pictured is white, about 19 years old, 5ft 8in tall, with long, blonde hair, and of medium build.
She was wearing tight, blue jeans, a khaki bomber jacket, black trainers, an ankle bracelet, and a ring on the middle finger.
Her companion is described as white, also about 19 years old, 5ft 9in tall, with long, black or very dark-brown hair and of a heavy build.
She was wearing black trainers, black leggings, and a beige, high-waisted jumper.
Investigator Kate Mitchell said: “If you know who this woman or her friend are, please get in touch with us. You can report online or by calling us on 101, quoting serial 44 of 26/06.”
When the woman with the dog is identified, officers will also liaise with the RSPCA to establish what dog mistreatment offences may have been committed.
