THE family of a 22-year-old who died after being found in the sea are selling her art to raise money for charity.
Bethany Skinner was found in the water near Bognor Pier at about 2.25am on February 24.
She was taken to St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester in a critical condition and died two days later.
In a statement, Littlehampton RNLI said: “A few weeks ago, we were tasked to search for a person in the water off Bognor, and very quickly found Bethany Skinner. Our crew brought her aboard and started to treat her, landing her on the beach at Bognor. Sadly, Beth didn’t make it, she died in hospital a few days later.”
Bethany was an art graduate and one of her friends, Victoria Louise, has decided to sell some of her work to raise money for the Littlehampton RNLI Lifeboat Station, who fought to rescue her from the water.
She said: “The raised funds will all be going to the most amazing coast crew that worked so hard to bring Beth back to us.
“Please share this and get it as far as we can to raise as much as possible to this amazing charity. Beth would absolutely love her work being used to help the charity help others.”
Littlehampton RNLI responded: “We are very grateful for this very kind gesture and our thoughts are with her friends and family as they come to terms with such a tragic loss.”
