SUSSEX Police have said they arrested a “known group” of motorbike thieves.
A spokeswoman said: “Prevention officers in Brighton and Hove have run a successful number of operations to identify and catch those stealing motorbikes and mopeds across the city.
“The number of thefts of motorbikes and mopeds in Brighton and Hove has fallen and a known group of youths who were responsible for this criminality have been arrested.
"Officers continue to carry out high visibility patrols, talk to businesses, residents and partner agencies and give out crime prevention advice to motorcycle owners.

“Owners are advised to lock and chain their motorcycles securely and store them out of sight if possible.”
Inspector Brian McCarthy said: “We want to hear from anyone who has information about thefts of motorcycles or suspected stolen motorcycles which have been found.”
