TWO WOMEN were injured after they were run over in a seafront crash by a suspected drug driver.

Police were called to Brighton seafront near the junction with Middle Street after three cars crashed.

One of the cars then went on to collide with the two women who were pedestrians crossing the road at 3.45am this morning.

The driver of a blue Audi was then seen attempting to get away, but was stopped by door security staff 100 yards further along the seafront.

Police arrived, and the driver was arrested for failing a roadside drugs test.
