PIRATES of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp has been seen dining at a Sussex pub after rumours he is buying a house in the county.

The Hollywood superstar, 55, visited the Middle House, in Mayfield, twice.

A staff member, who would only give his name as Chris, said: “He only came to have dinner, he is a nice guy.”

The pub would not give any further details.

He was reportedly spotted having a Sunday lunch with his manager and two other people.

Depp was wearing a cowboy hat and scarf in his second visit. He rose to fame after playing Edward Scissorhands.

Two years ago he split with his wife Amber Heard in a much-publicised divorce.
