RESIDENTS are fuming after yet another car meet which they say is disturbing the peace yesterday evening.
Photographer Daniel Moon said: "Police are down monitoring the situation. There are at least 400 cars, I didn't expect to see so many.
"The flats in Marine Gate are complaining about the noise and the loud music. They are also driving around the marina.
"The security guards weren't expecting this amount of cars as well. The car park was full when I left at about 9.20pm."
Brighton resident Sally Garzozzo tweeted: "How on earth can you allow these scallywags to take over Asda car park.
"It’s Saturday evening and residents around the underpass are having a very difficult time relaxing.
"Every engine backfiring sends a shockwave through your nervous system.
"I’ve had enough. I’ve lived here for three years and this is the worst it’s ever been.
"In the summer it’s blazing hot in our flats and you can’t even have the window open because of the backfiring. It sounds like a war zone and is a shock for your nervous system."

A driver who attended the car meet, who asked not to be named, said: "I attend quite a lot of meets, but the fact is a lot of people frown upon us.
"To us, it's a hobby and a special interest. For example, some people like horseriding or polo and there are places for them to play their sport.
"But we have a different perspective on cars, we look at cars in different ways. We like meeting up with people and having a chat and a laugh.
"It's upsetting that people are trying to shut us down. We just need a designated area where we can meet. We try to keep as clean as possible, we always choose places where there are plenty of bins."
A passer-by said: "Shoppers are concerned about their children's safety, yet they were intrigued about what was going on.
"Many people from the Marina came in saying they heard it from their homes and people were generally fed up and annoyed by the noise.
"I thought it was uncalled for having an event like that, but then if they had somewhere to go we wouldn't have this ongoing issue of boy racers every week.
"The scale of what happened tonight isn't regular as they're usually in Black Rock.
"But every week there are boy racers which can be quite intimidating if you're driving through or even walking by them because you honestly don't know what will happen."
A resident, who asked not to be named, said: "They aren't doing any harm. I came down here and it was noisy, but if people have a problem with it they should bring it up.
"I think it could be better managed, but I don't see a problem with the car meet."
A Sussex Police spokesman said: "We have worked with Brighton Marina security guards to monitor the situation. At about 10.20pm there are half a dozen still in the car park.
"There has been no trouble."
