A LOST puppy was found hundreds of miles away from his home.
Reggie the four-month-old Labrador was lost while out for a walk with his owners in Penllergaer Woods, near Swansea, on January 18.
Pictures of the puppy were shared around social media in an attempt to find him, and the loss was reported to South Wales Police.
Following this, one officer in particular took it upon himself to locate the lost Labrador.
PC Simon Shaughnessy, based at Gorseinon Police Station, worked in between his shifts to help find Reggie.
On Friday, January 24, his efforts proved successful as he managed to track the Labrador to Sussex, where he was picked up by Sussex Police.
Reggie was reunited with his owners later that day.
South Wales Police posted an image of the pet with Sussex Police on social media to celebrate the pet’s return.
The caption said: “We’re delighted that Reggie has now been located in Sussex.
“We know there’s been a lot of support on social media this week to help find him, and a lot of praise for our PC Shaughnessy for his dedication to return Reggie to his family.”
