BRIGHTON and Hove is the most generous city in the country for employee benefits around work-life balance.
Jobs in the city are more likely to offer perks like flexible hours and parental benefits than the other nine UK locations researched by business travel experts Red7.
Researchers looked at a minimum of 50 online job adverts per city across five top career roles, and found that Brighton had, on average, 2.5 perks per job advert.
The other top cities for work-life balance benefits are Bristol, Leeds, London and Belfast.
Work-life balance perks in Brighton, which include a free holiday day for birthdays, made up 6.5 per cent of all benefits offered by employers in the city.
It also offered the most benefits around food and drink.
Ian Lucas, founder of Red7, said: “Although people should find satisfaction in their jobs, a good work-life balance is very important.
“This hot topic appears to be gaining more recognition as time goes on.”
