It is located between Boots and Sainsbury's in North Street.
Videographer Tom Sharman, 24, who has been living in the road for a year, said: “There’s a lot of violence, lots of fights.
"If I keep my window open at night I can hear it happening. It’s no surprise that it’s number two in the city for crime.”
A resident, who did not want to be named, said problems were caused by it being between North Street and Brighthelm Gardens – there are homeless people camping in the alleyways and troublemakers linked with Windsor Court, which caters for mix of accommodation including temporary and emergency.
Another resident, who did not want to be named, said: "I lived in Windsor Lodge for 17 years and can confirm there was a lot of trouble from Windsor Court next door.
I was constantly woken up in the early hours of the morning by blue flashing lights from police and ambulance with fighting from the residents next door and drug dealing went on openly."
