THE MAN who chucked tiles at police during a rooftop rampage has been put behind bars.
Marshall Mathers had climbed up above the Brewdog pub in Grand Parade.
Witnesses on their way to work in August saw the 44-year-old, of no fixed address, causing chaos and thousands of pounds worth of damage. Eventually he was arrested.
At Brighton Crown Court he admitted public nuisance, affray, and criminal damage and was jailed for a total of 18 months.
Following the case, police said: “Aside from the damage and disruption that he caused, Mathers’s blatant disregard for where he was throwing items into the street below could have led to serious injury or worse for those below.”
