Lorry and two crash in accident on M23 near Gatwick
A LORRY and two cars were involved in an accident on the M23 this morning.
One lane was closed and traffic was queueing Northbound from Junction 9 at Gatwick Airport to Junction 8 (M25).
The accident was within the roadworks area.
At 8.49 Highways England tweeted to say all lanes had been reopened and traffic was starting to ease.
Recovery has removed the vehicles following a collision #M23 #Surrey northbound btwn J9 @Gatwick_Airport and J8 (#M25). All lanes are now open and the earlier delays are beginning to ease. Safe travels today. pic.twitter.com/VGRKxDwaQ3
