BURGLARS have stolen goods from a shop affected by last week’s blaze in Rectory Road, Worthing.
Police are appealing for information after the incident in which thieves raided Thomas Food and Wine in Rectory Road and took off with cigarettes, alcohol and cash.
Owners of the store discovered the burglary at 7:30pm on Thursday, August 30 after they had left they had secured the store at 12:30pm the previous day.
The food and wine store was affected by the fire that ripped though a number of premises in Rectory Road on August 27.
The cause of the devastating blaze is not yet known although it is not thought to be suspicious.
