A WOMAN was taken to hospital after her car crashed into a stretch-limo full of prom-night students and flipped onto its side.

The black Audi hit a white Chrysler taking a group of Shoreham College students to their prom night.

It happened on the A259 Kings Road opposite Bedford Square.

Police and paramedics were at the scene.

One of the students, who asked not to be named, said: "We were all going to the prom.

"There were seven girls in the car and the driver.

"This car bumped into us out of nowhere at a very fast pace.

"The car suddenly jolted and all our necks went back.

"The car was flipped onto its side because of the impact.

"People went up to the car. They took a woman out and she's okay.

"The paramedics were called and got us out. We are all wearing dresses so it is not very easy.

"Some men pushed the car on its side beofre the ambulance arrived."

Some of the girls have called their parents to try to arrange a lift to the prom.

A police statement said: "Police attended a road traffic collision in A259 Kings Road, Brighton, on Monday (2 July).
