A man has been arrested after smashing several shop windows this morning.
Police were called at 9.46am today to East Street shopping area in Brighton.
A witness, who preferred not to be named, said: "He smashed up the windows of Pret a Manger, The White Company and a ski shop.
"A man from the jeweller's shop ran out to pin him down and it took four people to hold onto him before the police arrived.
"It was like something out of a movie."
The man was arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and remains in police custody.
