A murder probe has been launched after a man and woman have been found dead in a house in Worthing.
The alarm was raised at 01.51am this morning (April 13) after the pair were found dead at the address in South Farm Road, Worthing.
Police said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
The man in his 40s and woman in her 30s, who lived locally, were declared dead at the scene.
Detective Superintendent Adam Hibbert, of the Sussex and Surrey Major Crime Team, said: “At the present time we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
“Our enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances of the deaths and we would discourage anyone from speculating as to what happened."
Around 12pm scene of crime officers in white boiler suits could be seen at the house collecting evidence, which has been cordoned off with police tape.
According to residents, who live on the street, a woman lived at the property with her boyfriend.
Speaking to The Argus Bruce Patel, owner of Shreejee News on South Farm Road, said: "I have been a newsagent here for 10 years and there has never been any problems.
"So when I hear about this it is concerning because we all know each other around here.
"I know almost everybody and get to know them. The two who lived in the house kept themselves to themselves.
"It is shocking that this has happened in this area."
Heather Denyer, who lives a few doors down, said: "As I was returning from work, I saw an ambulance and eight police cars outside the house."
