A MOTORCYCLIST was left with serious injuries after a crash with a white van.
The 28-year-old was riding a black Yamaha 125cc which collided with a white Ford Transit van on the A259 South Coast Road, Saltdean.
It happened at around 4pm on Friday, January 5 around 45 metres east of the road's junction with Bannings Vale.
The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to the Royal Sussex County Hospital with serious leg, chest and pelvic injuries.
The driver of the van, a 50-year-old man from Portslade, was also taken to the same hospital for treatment to serious facial injuries.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and has since been released under investigation.
