SEVEN nurses are celebrating after being given prestigious national recognition.
The team from Sussex Community NHS Trust have been awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse by the Queen’s Nursing Institute (QNI).
The title recognises people’s continuing commitment to improving standards of care in the community and to learning and leadership.
The group were presented with a badge and certificate at a ceremony in London.
Children and young people’s community matron Jane Mulcahy said: “I am delighted to be awarded the title of Queen’s Nurse, which is synonymous with high quality care and an ongoing commitment to improvement.
“The QNI network of expertise, professional contacts and genuine desire to ‘make it better’ is inspirational.”
