MUSICIAN Hanna Tuulikki has been nominated for the 2017 British Composer Awards.
Brighton-born Hanna, 35, is a classical composer, artist and performer who works primarily with voice and gesture to create pieces for immersive spaces.
Her performances and films combine costume, staging, and sculptural objects, often within unconventional settings.
She was previously nominated for the awards in 2016 and her nominated piece for this year ‘cloud-cuckoo-island’ was inspired by the Seamus Heaney poem about the Irish King of legend, Sweeney.
Thirty composers have been nominated for the British Composer Awards spanning 33 works.
