FIREFIGHTERS are at a house in Brighton.
Three engines were called to a property in Dorset Gardens which is believed to be smoke damaged.
A neighbour said he was not allowed in his house while the firefighters were dealing with the issue.
Another onlooker said: "I was just walking my dog and then suddenly saw all the blue lights.
"I don't know what happened."
When The Argus arrived on the scene, there was commotion in the narrow road as cars could not get on to Edward Street because of the engines.
Firefighters were also seen dumping what appeared to be burnt wood into a bucket outside the house.
A spokesman for East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said they were called to a "smoke issue" at a property in Dorset Gardens at 7.20am.
