MORE than 3,000 runners made this year’s Beachy Head Marathon and 10k the busiest yet.
Celebrating first place in the marathon was Todd Leckie, the fastest male with a time of 2:56:45.
Alexie Williams achieved a time of 3:27:11, making her the fastest female runner.
First man in the 10K was Ross Brocklehurst with 38:00 and Sue Fry was the fastest woman with 41:54.
This year’s event welcomed more nationalities than ever before with runners coming all the way from the USA, Jamaica, Japan, China, Australia and New Zealand.
The event was supported by more than 150 volunteers and charities.
