The accident happened on the A27 at Castle Goring, near Worthing
A DRIVER was taken to hospital after being cut free from her car this morning.
Two cars were involved in a crash on the A27 Arundel Road at Durrington, Worthing, at about 9.10am.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were called to the scene and the road was closed in both directions until shortly after 11am while the area was clear.
Drivers faced long delays in the area and had to use alternative routes.
Sussex Police have thanked people for their patience while the work was being done.
