A UNIVERSITY of Brighton coach has been shortlisted for a national award.
Katie Parker, performance sport and fitness officer, has been nominated for Talent Development Coach of the Year in the UK Coaching awards 2017.
Winners of the 20 anniversary awards will be announced in London on November 30.
Katie said: “I was beyond shocked. I love coaching and furthering athletes and to receive recognition on top of that is a real bonus.
“Being a strength and conditioning coach, you don’t expect to be noticed in the coaching world. It’s an honour to be flying the flag for all strength and conditioning professionals.”
Katie has ten years experience coaching football.
