HOSPICES across Sussex joined forces to kickstart their annual Big Get Together campaign.
A colourful vintage-themed afternoon of swing dancing took place on Brighton Palace Pier to mark the event.
The campaign invites people to have fun with friends or family and raise funds to support their local hospice.
It could be a family barbecue, an evening of sophisticated cocktails and canapés, a coffee morning with friends, a pamper party, dinner party or even a Halloween party.
Guests at the launch were treated to an energetic afternoon of swing dance lessons from Swing Patrol UK, accompanied by live music from Ultraswing, followed by a vintage afternoon tea.
Liz Davies from The Martlets hospice in Hove said: “The Big Get Together is all about having fun with friends and family.
“It’s a fabulous excuse to let your hair down and spend some time making happy memories with those people who are important to you.”
