CROWDS flocked to a village cricket club to see the likes of Kevin Pietersen, Andrew Flintoff and Chris Gayle in action.
The stars had been invited to Newick’s King George V Playing Field, in Church Road, by Good Morning Britain presenter Pires Morgan, who hails from the village.
The Piers Morgan XI, which also included former footballer Robbie Savage, took on two Newick sides, and won both matches.
Gayle managed just 20 runs before Flintoff smashed the Newick bowlers around, bringing up his 50 off just 18 balls. He was eventually bowled for 69. Pietersen meanwhile scored 41.
