A MAN was stabbed while he was in bed.

Detectives investigating the attack in Cinque Foil, Peacehaven, are hunting for Mitchell Gardner-Whiles. Paramedics were called when a 22-year-old was found with leg injuries. He was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton with leg injuries after the incident on Sunday, April 23.

Detective Inspector Neil Ralph said: "We want to speak to 29-year-old Mitchell Gardner-Whiles who we believe has important information about this assault.

"He is white, 5' 9", of muscular build, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has close links with Peacehaven and we believe that he may still be in the area."

He urged anyone who knows where he is to call police on 101 quoting 759 of 23/04 but to call 999 if he is seen.
