MORE than a hundred people marched through the streets to demand better working conditions for Deliveroo riders.

The march, which took place in Brighton on Monday, was called by the Independent Workers’ Union of Great Britain (IWGB) and supported by other groups.

The IWGB called on Deliveroo to guarantee the living wage for riders, plus costs, and to increase the money paid per delivery made to £5.

Guy McClenahan, IWGB Brighton representative and Deliveroo rider, said: “It was great to see the young unions of Brighton come together and march in solidarity with each other.

“In each march we are getting more people behind our campaign so it is clear the public feeling in support of Deliveroo riders is strong in Brighton.”
