A SCHOOL gardening club has been given a boost with a donation from a business.
Paradise Park garden centre in Newhaven handed over much needed equipment to the town’s Breakwater Academy.
Staff at the primary school in Valley Road said they were very grateful for the help they had received.
A spokeswoman for the school said: “We look forward to growing our plants and creating an inspiring gardening project for our pupils.”
Mark Gilbert, who works at the centre in Avis Road, said: “It was our pleasure to reach out to the community.
“We are always keen to work with local groups and it is encouraging to see the next generation becoming interested in the environment and the role horticulture has to play in our fragile eco-system.”
