THE Brighton Summit is returning on October 13.

This unique conference brings together the city’s distinctive business community and is the highlight of Brighton Chamber’s events programme.

The theme this year is ‘embracing the unknown’ and the summit will be held at The Clarendon Centre in central Brighton.

The focus is on helping businesses deal with the unfamiliar, seize new opportunities and take advantage of the altering landscape.

Sarah Springford, director of Brighton Chamber, said: “We work hard on our businesses to make them what we want them to be.

“Now more than ever we need to be agile and seize opportunities to achieve our goals. This year’s Brighton Summit will give delegates the tools and contacts to help them do just that.

“We’ve designed a programme to inspire and challenge and to get people thinking in different ways.”

The main benefits attendees gave for taking part in last year’s summit were the quality of the networking, speakers and workshops, food and drink and the surprise factor – now a firmly established ingredient of the event.

With 350 attendees, the 2016 Summit featured three keynote speakers, four expert workshops, eight Desire Hour sessions and four thought-provoking panels.

Six venues were used, 1,050 cups of coffee were consumed and the event started trending on Twitter by 10am. There are top quality speakers, expert workshops and panel discussions.

There will be an Unknown Hour where attendees get to try something completely different.
