TWO police officers have been charged for an assault that caused actual bodily harm.
The incident took place in Eastbourne in the early hours of Thursday, January 5.
Police were called to South Street at 2.07am where paramedics reported that they were treating a 33-year-old man with a head injury.
The victim was taken to hospital for treatment to injuries to his head, face and hand.
Robert Rangeley, 35, a police constable based in Eastbourne and Paul Bridger, 32, a police constable based in Lewes, were charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
They have been bailed to appear at Hastings Magistrates' Court on April 26.
