MORE than £300,000 has been raised for The Martlets hospice in the Snowdog auction.
Hundreds of bidders turned out at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange and from across the world on the internet to make offers on their favourite dog, with a few bidding wars breaking out.
Led by celebrity auctioneer Tim Wonnacott, the atmosphere was electric as bids shot through the roof for the Snowdogs.
A whopping £22,000 was the highest offer for the Royal Pavilion interior-inspired Max by Sarah Arnett. DJ Fatboy Slim’s Boomer Snowdog, which doubles up as a unique sound system, also sold for £20,000.
Imelda Glackin, chief executive of the charity, said it was a fantastic achievement and thanked everyone include.
