The accident happened between the A285 and the A272
A pensioner has died after the silver Ford Fiesta he was driving hit a tree near Petworth.
The accident happened in Lavington Common East, between the A285 and the A272, at about 5.10pm on Saturday.
The victim, a 72-year-old man from Petworth, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are appealing for witnesses to email collision.appeal@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Seaside.
