A BURGLAR smashed a rear window to get into a property and take a number of items.
The break-in occurred sometime between 5pm on Saturday, 6 August and 3pm on Sunday, 7 August at a property in Beach Road, Shoreham.
A number of antique cutlery items were taken including a set of eight fish knives and forks, silver pepper pots and jewellery. A rather unique looking Victorian silver mesh penny purse was also stolen
Detective Constable Gavin Percival, of Sussex Police, said: "I would ask that if anyone saw anything suspicious during this period to please get in touch.
"I am particularly keen for anyone with private CCTV in the immediate area to take the time to view their footage for that night and contact me if anything is seen that may assist with the enquiry."
