IT’S a place of great pride for many people across the country and the humble garden shed may also hold the key to happiness.
A staggering 95 per cent of shed owners in the South East say their shed makes them happy, according to a new survey.
The national survey was conducted by shed company Waltons.
It also revealed that more than 46 per cent of people surveyed in the South East said they loved sheds so much they would happily spend a country break staying in one – and 17 per cent said they would even live in their shed.
Shed owners across the South East eagerly anticipate the time they get to spend in their shed.
In fact, 24 per cent of them said it was better than going to the pub, 45 per cent said it was better than doing almost anything in the house and six per cent said they prefer “shed time” to sex.
