A PADDLING pool and park fountains will remain closed this weekend over health and safety concerns.
Saunders Park paddling pool and The Level fountains in Brighton will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday after concerns about bacteria in the water.
Brighton and Hove City Council had hoped to reopen up the pools by Friday but are still trying to resolve the issue.
Concerned parents have contacted The Argus in recent days to complain their children had fallen ill after playing at the two sites.
A bacteria also found in bird droppings and dogs is thought to have been behind the contaminations.
