AN ENTERTAINMENTS company is staging 14 shows in 14 days in 14 different places during August to raise much-needed funds for a hospice.

Full Beam Productions provides shows both in the UK and abroad, and caters for all venues from care homes to cruise ships.

Now it has decided to undertake a mammoth task with its Miss.V and The Beamers charity tour in aid of St Wilfrid’s Hospice, which is based in Eastbourne and supports people over a wide area of East Sussex.

The fundraising target is £10,000 and venues include those in Bexhill, Polegate, Haywards Heath, Horam, Herstmonceux, Mayfield, Rotherfield and Firle.

Owner Jim Pyle said: "The tour will be a marathon for us and the venues range from village halls in local communities to community centres to theatres.

"The show itself is vintage singing and dancing with music from all eras, including modern music which we have put a vintage spin on, so there really is something for everyone.

"It includes our professional dancers and singers displaying a range of dance styles from ballet, contemporary and some explosive tap routines in fabulous costumes and feathers."

Jim said the charity is incredibly close to his heart because fellow company director and choreographer Natalie Bradshaw's mother Julie died from cancer back in 2007. She was aged just 47.

Natalie said: "I lost my mum to cancer after a tiring and lengthy battle spanning a number of years. Towards the end, mum was moved into a hospice - something which I had never even heard of, but now I am extremely thankful for.

"A place where family can go, whenever they want, and be themselves, in a comfortable environment. A place where the carers knew us all by our names, and got to know us, because they cared immensely."
