ONE of the most expensive domestic properties put up for sale on the Brighton market has been sold for £3.4m.
The Grade I listed Consort House in Lewes Crescent, Brighton, has been sold by Fine & Country, the specialist luxury estate agency based in Hove's Church Road.
Situated in one of the most historic Regency locations in the city, the home boasts six double bedrooms, four reception rooms and sea views.
The building as once owned by HRH the Princess Consort of Thailand.
It is widely believed that a tunnel which leads directly from Kemp Town Enclosures, owned collectively with property’s neighbouring freeholders, onto the beachfront inspired Lewis Carroll to write Alice in Wonderland.
Fine & Country director Adam Farrell said: "We're really proud to be the selling agent of Consort House as it is such a fine example of the very best the city has to offer.
"Being involved in the successful sale of this kind of luxury property is exactly what Fine & Country specialises in and it goes to show how attractive the city is to such a wide and diverse demographic."
