Love, lust, jealousy and vengeance?
Surely these mortal emotions have no place in the realm of Greek mythology?
So thought I, but this fantastically well-told story of beautiful Psyche's journeys through Heaven, Earth and the underworld in search of her immortal lover Eros, who has been sent away by his jealous mother Aphrodite, soon proved me wrong.
These two amazingly talented storytellers engage with the audience brilliantly, using vivid language and imagery flawlessly.
Accompanied by an extremely gifted singer whose ethereal tones are a pleasure to listen to, and a lute player whose strummings are just right for this story, the tone is set perfectly.
An enthralling, skillfully-told story which will have you searching out more Greek mythology faster than you can say "Aphrodite".
