A WOMAN discovered a body washed up on Brighton beach.
The body of a man was found by the dogwalker just before 8am on Tuesday.
The man is believed to be Christopher Gray, 48, from Surrey.
Paramedics found the body at the water’s edge, down from the Volk’s Railway, near to the Peter’s Pan Playground.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Police were contacted by a member of the public who had seen a body on the beach near the Volk’s railway line at Brighton on Tuesday just before 8am.
“Officers attended and the body of a man aged in is late 40s was discovered at the water’s edge.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and the coroner’s officer is dealing with it.”
