For the residents and visitors to Brighton who may have seen a wedding car pulled over in Marine Parade, Brighton, at 1.20 pm on Saturday April 28 - yes, we were late and yes it did cause all concerned unnecessary stress and anxiety.
When the car passed the traffic police 20 minutes later with the bride and her father, the same officers had the audacity to acknowledge the wedding car.
My husband and daughter thought this was a kind and friendly gesture: not wanting to mar the day they were not told of the incident until Sunday.
A formal complaint has been made. If Sussex Police really want to improve their relationship with the general public, maybe some common sense and courteous behaviour might be more appropriate.
