I have recently returned home after seven weeks in the digestive disorders department of the Royal Sussex County Hospital where, at the age of 81, I underwent an operation for colon cancer, followed by a week at Knoll House, an intermediary care service establishment.
Not only did they give me back my life but every member of the staff treated me with care and kindness.
I am now receiving daily care from district nurses who again cannot be faulted.
My grateful thanks go to all I met on my road to recovery.
