A website designed to let people know what's on in their area has been revamped.
Arun District Council has launched a quick and easy way of keeping businesses and visitors up to speed with events free of charge.
For the first time organisers will be able to input details of events online instead of filling out forms and waiting for the data to be uploaded by council staff.
By simply clicking on the what's on' link on the Arun homepage, www.arun.gov.uk, organisers can now submit as many events as they choose.
Councillor Norman Dingemans, the cabinet member for economic regeneration and tourism, said: "This new improved site will make it easier for everyone to promote and learn about the wide variety of interesting activities going on in the area.
"It is an effective and hasslefree way of promoting events with the minimum of fuss, but to maximum effect.
"The website is already an extremely popular way for people to find out what is happening in the district, taking thousands of hits every month.
"These improvements mean that even more events and activities will be advertised."
Those who do not have access to the internet can still take advantage of the innovative new site by using the council's public computers, available at the civic centre in Littlehampton and the town hall in Bognor Regis.
