Maverick brass carnival Orkestra Del Sol has established itself as one of the top UK musical street acts, with a vast repertoire of music from around the world. Playing everything from Balkan brass tunes, sexy salsas, congas and calypsos to sambas, gipsy polkas and dramatic waltzes, theirs is celebratory music, delivered with unruly charm.
After a whirlwind tour of north India, the ten-piece band returned to their hometown of Edinburgh in February to develop a touring show with Mikey Martinez of 3 Monkey Productions. And now the Streets of Brighton will be one of the first places to see the band's new Fanfare, or musical street theatre, show in action.
