What these strange pulsing entities colonising an elm tree in Victoria Gardens? Gather by Thor McIntyre-Burnie and Toby Jarvis is inspired by Japan's age-old tradition of celebrating nature's seasonal phenomena by going out and listening to and collecting insects. Looking at how this tradition has influenced comic and film fiction, the installation bases its sound on recordings made in the Japanese mountains.
