Artists in Sussex are being invited to design a series of murals to revitalise the entrance to Brighton's commercial heart.
The Brighton Improvement District is working with the Business Forum to revive the vandalised site in Meeting House Lane.
Artists are invited to submit ten miniature sketches with a brief written outline of their idea, and they could win £1,000.
Brighton city centre manager Soozie Campbell said: "The project aims to send out a message to quality street artists that there is a way to showcase their work that is legal and potentially lucrative."
The closing date for the competition is Friday, June 15.
